The Kitchen Garden at RHS Rosemoor
According to one of the resident horticulturalists The Fruit and Vegetable Garden at RHS Rosemoor is all about celebrating the flavour of the seasons. And, boy, it does not disappoint.
I’ve been obsessed with growing my own vegetables for a couple of years now and nothing gets me excited like a good kitchen garden. When I was on holiday in Devon recently I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to visit the Fruit and Vegetable Garden at RHS Rosemoor.
From the minute I was greeted by the Welcome sign availing me of all the techniques employed in the garden I was smitten, and keen to get some ideas that I could (hopefully) put in to practice in my own garden and on the allotment plot.
The inspiration was plentiful. From top tips on encouraging pollinators by planting Calendula, Cosmos, and Verbena bonariensis (to name a few), through to the fantastic fan-trained gooseberry bushes in the fruit cage, it’s safe to say that I came away from the trip fizzing with excitement to put these things in to practice.
